Event Details God’s Country Musky’s Inc. will open the club’s fishing outings at the Holcombe Flowage on June 19-21. Campsites have been reserved at Pine Point. The Saturday noon lunch will be held at Big Swedes, and fishermen must attend the lunch to have their fish counted toward the Club Outing Tournament. Please let Leif know if you are planning to attend so we can finalize food and camping. The Holcombe Flowage is sure to produce at least one musky that weekend and of course the weather will be perfect! The State Kleeba Chapter Challunge is held mid-June annually. The date and location of that tournament is still being determined. Watch for an email update, check the Facebook and website or call a club officer to check on this emerging date. This is a fishing favorite for club members since we have an opportunity to fish and socialize with fellow musky enthusiasts from around the state. The traveling trophy is ready for another visit to La Crosse! The July 10-12 outing will be based out of Dairyland Reservoir. Camping for this outing will be at Josie Creek Campground. The Saturday noon lunch will be served at the campground. Please confirm your attendance so we can plan accordingly. As a reminder, since these are social events, participation in the Saturday lunch is mandatory for contest prize eligibility at club outings. Please mark your calendars and join us for some fishing and fun. Highway Cleanup God’s Country Musky Inc. sponsors a section of Highway 35 south of La Crosse. As part of this sponsorship the club conducts a Cleanup each spring and fall. Dates for this year are April 25 and September 19. Typically, volunteers meet to assign areas and distribute bags, vests and tools in the morning. They then gather afterwards for a lunch and social. The more volunteers that help, the faster and more fun this service event will be. Please come to a regular meeting or let a club officer know if you would like to join this event. |
